Friday Favorites

Friday, July 10, 2015

We made it to Friday...thank goodness! It has been an extremely long week, and I am so ready for the weekend. Also--I promise I haven't forgotten about my pregnancy update post-- it will be a special Saturday post :)

Today, as always, I am linking up with Momfessionals, A Little Bit of Everything, and Grace and Love for Friday Favorites, but also A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello! Happiness, and The Good Life for 5 on Friday.

I will talk a little more about this tomorrow, but we had our big ultra sound yesterday and it was amazing. It is crazy how clear the pictures are and how you can really see what the baby looks like. It was such a special moment for my husband and I. And yes, I got a little teary. I am definitely SUPER emotional  lately(thanks hormones).

{Favorite Two}
Right now, I am loving the fresh fruits and vegetables from our local farms. Right now, blueberries, peaches, nectarines, summer squash, and zucchini are in season around here and they are all DELICIOUS! When I was in college and grad school, I worked at a local farm where I truly learned to appreciate in-season and fresh food. There is nothing like it.

During my nightly walks, I have been LOVING my Pandora Broadway Showstoppers station. It is upbeat, fun, and I find myself singing along.

{Favorite Four}
I know that I am extremely late to the party (is there a word for that?!), but my husband and I have been playing Words with  Friends. Yes we are in the same room as one another, but it has been extremely fun!

{Favorite Five}
My beauty routine is fairly simple in the summertime (thanks to a little color from the sun), but I still like to put a little make-up on. Recently, I bought new mascara that I absolutely LOVE: CoverGirl Professional, Very Black! I also have been curling my eyelashes with a curler first, and then applying mascara (I usually do the opposite), and I have to say that I love the way my eyelashes look. I have also been using Baby Lips chapstick-- so thankful for smooth and colorful lips!

  1. Random is good! Awe seeing your sonogram picture brings back many memories. Enjoy this precious time!!! I need to get some Baby Lips, I'm very minimal with make up in the summer. I like to let the sun do its thing (while wearing a ton of SPF) and just go with the flow! Have a fabulous weekend! xo Amanda

    1. Thank you so much-- we are definitely trying to soak in all these moments. You think that 9 months is such a long time, but now that we are half way, it is going by so quickly!!! Baby Lips is great! I don't typically spend too much on my make-up (Target or CVS are my go-to stores), and this chapstick also functions as a lipstick (except it's not as dry haha). Have a great weekend too!! Thanks for reading :)

  2. So good that you had a good ultrasound and it's perfectly acceptable to tear up a little! I think I cried at most of mine and I actually had to do a bunch with my firstborn, so that's a lot of crying. Going to have to stop by for your post tomorrow because I'm a sucker for all things baby. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks for reading!! I knew that pregnant women can be very emotional-- I just didn't realize until I became pregnant how uncontrollable it can be! In moments of joy, fear, confusion, I seem to cry at the drop of a hat!
