Five on Friday and Friday Favorites

Friday, February 13, 2015

Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone had a great week :) I am linking up with Darci from The Good Life and her friends and Andrea from Momfessionals and her friends:

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

{1} My Co-Workers
Yesterday we had our second semester open house for parents and students. Since there isn't that much time in between the end of the school day and the start of the open house, my co-workers and I went out to dinner. It was great to spend quality time with them. We don't have the opportunity to hang out outside of school all that often, so when we do, I absolutely love it! I am so lucky that I work with people I consider my close friends.

{2} SCARVES!
It has been so cold out lately, and I have worn a thick scarf every single day! Scarves are not only great statement pieces, but they have a real function!
I'm loving these options I found at Old Navy (I could always use more scarves haha)

{3} Be Koool Fever Patches
For some reason this week and last week, I have had terrible migraines. I am not sure why-- I don't feel over-stressed, I'm not dehydrated, but regardless, I have turned to using these fever patches:

                                                     Be Koool Soft Gel Sheets for Kids
                                                                                             {via}
While they are for fevers, I have found that they also help with relieving migraines. (They are also cheaper than specific migraine patches).

{4} My favorite shows right now: Fixer Upper, The Mindy Project, and The Bachelor (mostly the bachelor because I like making my husband watch it with me so I can see his reaction to all the craziness :)). I LOVE Fixer Upper- and I wish that I had Joanna's decorating talent and eye for detail. She does an amazing job setting and staging a home. the houses have a rustic feel, are simple, but warm and welcoming. I love Mindy Kaling in The Mindy Project! She is funny, clever, sassy, and a great actress. Her show is laugh out loud funny, but also awkward at the same time (which I love!). The Bachelor, well it is self-explanatory. It is the only show where I have watched every season (embarrassingly!).

{5} Life in general
Life has been pretty great lately, and I have to be so thankful for that. My husband and I are in a great routine, and we have been able to spend quality time together. My students have been pretty good and flexible (even with all of the snow storms). I can't complain-- life is good.

Have a great weekend!
