As for my post today, I am linking up again with B Loved Boston and Champagne and Suburbs for Weekending.......
- Friday night was spent working at the concession stand again. My youngest sisters attend the same private Catholic High School that I attended, and to help with the tuition, my parents offer their time to run the concession stand during basketball games. It can get pretty hectic and busy, so I help my parents out sometimes. I cannot thank my parents enough for making so many sacrifices to allow me to go to that school (which I still love), so I try to say "Thank you" by helping them out.
- Saturday was spent cleaning the house and running some errands before the snow storm. It was great to get out of the house with my husband and trek around town. Driving around, my husband and I remembered how much we love the town we moved to. Our scenic and snowy downtown looked perfect Saturday.
- Saturday night my husband and I had a few of my sisters over and one of their boyfriends for dinner and a movie. We made sausage, peppers and onions, french fries, popcorn, and of course topped it all off with hot fudge sundaes. We watched Big Hero 6, which was AMAZING! It's not just a kid's movie. It was funny, entertaining, and extremely heartfelt. I would definitely recommend this movie for anyone and everyone. I love that my husband loves spending time with my family. My sisters and I are extremely close, and Jim is the perfect addition to the family (well and my brother-in-law as well!). Jim is a great listener, and gives great advice. He also has great comedic timing, which always helps to lighten the mood :).
- Sunday was another relaxing day. The snow had already started to fall in the morning, and my husband and I took the opportunity to spend time with each other. I have been relishing these last few weekends-- I feel as though I haven't done much and I am okay with that! After months of having our weekends filled with wedding-related items, I think it is okay to take some time to re-charge. Is it bad that I can't stop thinking about how children will make these weekends even more special? :) I just can't wait to have littles running around everywhere
- Even though we have had these event-less weekends that will end soon--the next few weekends are already filling up quickly!
I hope you all had a great weekend. Here's to another great week in February! Be sure to check out my blog tomorrow where I post my favorite Valentine's Day songs-- well songs about love-- but you know what I mean!
Thanks for reading :)
Visiting from weekend link up! Sounds like you had a great weekend, I had a relaxing Sunday as well and it was so refreshing to do things at my own pace and not have to be anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a morning of rain and/or snow to make the decision to slow down and relax a bit easier :-) It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend!
