Five on Friday and Friday Favorites
Friday, February 6, 2015
It's that day of the week again :). After another snow day yesterday, I am just ready for a complete and full week! Now, onto some favorites!
{Five on Friday}// {Friday Favorites}
{1} FLEECE AND FLANNEL!
It has been extremely cold around here, and nothing is better for warmth than fleece and flannel. I have been wearing fleece sweatshirts, flannel and fleece pants, and wrapping myself in my multiple fleece blankets. Most of my fleece is from years ago (got to love Old Navy), but I am absolutely LOVING these comfy pieces:

I am also loving these transitional lounge- wear pieces:

{2} Crock-Pot Dinners
I have tried to step-up my cooking game recently, and I have to thank my Crock-Pot! The meals are easy to make, delicious, varied, and perfect for this cold weather. The clean-up isn't too bad either ;). There are so many different types of Crock-Pots; mine was a wedding gift from Target. It's one of the simpler ones, but still works great!
{3} Sharpie Fine Point Pens
As a teacher, I will admit that I have a slight obsession with pens. It started in junior high school when I discovered that pens didn't just come in blue, black or red. It was also about the time that I started using gel pens (anyone remember those?!). Well, as an adult, I must say that the obsession is still there. I honestly don't even know how many different pens I have! One of the best pens I have used is the Sharpie Pen, Fine Point. There are a variety of colors, they write incredibly well, and are extremely fun to use!

{4} Home Goods
Since moving into our house, my husband and I have tried to work on decorating one room at a time. Actually, I am forcing myself to work on one room at a time. When we first moved in, I thought everything had to be done right away. After being in the house a few months, however, I realized that we could take our time with the decorating. That being said, we have finished our living room (for the most part), and now we are working on finishing the dining room. I have to say, Home Goods has been amazing! You can find so many pieces at a reasonable price. My buffet table is nicely decorated, thanks to Home Goods!
{5} The Patriots!
I never realized that most of the country can't stand New England sports! I was living in my own little bubble. I thought that because it was New England-- you know with its history, architecture, weather, and general awesomeness, everyone loved us. I am sad to say, that I guess I was wrong! Regardless, I am very excited that the Patriots won! They definitely deserve a spot in my Friday Favorites.
